Statutory Consultation under Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Plan (General) Regulations 2012
Stapeley & District Parish Council’s Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has prepared a draft Neighbourhood Plan for the parishes of Stapeley and Batherton, which together form the administrative area of the Parish Council.
The consultation period for the Draft Plan will run from 29 March 2016 until noon on 9 May 2016.
The purpose of this consultation is to seek representations from statutory consultees and others whose interests may be affected by the draft proposals. Please be assured that your comments will influence the final Draft Plan before commencement of a further statutory consultation period, known as the ‘publicity period’ which will be conducted by Cheshire East Council as the Local Planning Authority.
At a later stage, the Draft Plan will be subject to independent examination and if it passes this stage, there will be a referendum conducted by Cheshire East Council. If over 50% of those voting, vote in favour of the Plan, it will be ‘made’ which means that it will be adopted by Cheshire East Council and will form part of the planning framework against which all planning applications must be determined.
These two sites also contain details of the process involved, the necessary supporting documentation and the consultation feedback form. If you require a paper copy of the plan, one will be made available on request, but these will also be available at the following locations:
- Nantwich Library, Beam Street, Nantwich (normal opening hours)
- Civic Hall, Nantwich (during office opening hours)
- Community Hall – Tuesdays only – 11.00 am – 12.30 pm
- Co-op Store, Cronkinson Shopping Parade
- Pear Tree School
- Stapeley Broad Lane Academy
If you would like to make representations, please use the form provided and submit them by 9 May 2016:
